Lucas was born to Luscious Dawn and Margaret Moonlight, who economically had a good status. His father had been married before to another woman, with whom he had Lucas’s brother, Wolfgang, a half vampire, half werewolf. Wolfgang was 4 years older than Lucas and unlike Lucas, he wasn’t kind to people and constantly picked on Lucas when they were growing up. Lucas detested Wolfgang, but he couldn’t do much to make him stop as his parents wouldn’t listen to him.

His parents put Lucas from a young age in many classes, fighting, kendo and archery just to name a few, and they put Wolfgang also. Lucas was good at all the classes but Wolfgang was better and he always boasted about it constantly. By the time Lucas was 8, he had developed more than just hate against his brother who was 12. In class, when they were put to spar, Lucas always took the opportunity to go even further than just regular sparring; he actually wanted to kill Wolfgang. However, things were never in his favor, his parents would ground him and even hit him for trying to kill his brother. That made Lucas even angrier; they had no idea what he was going through with Wolfgang in all his classes. Regardless of the punishments, Lucas still took any opportunity without thinking of the consequences.

After years of punishments, Lucas’s parents had no other choice but to take him out of classes. Lucas enjoyed classes, but he thought that way he would spend more time without Wolfgang. And so he took advantage of that time and at just the age of 10 he began hunting Unicorns, Griffons and such to train his combat skills. He used any weapon he could find around his house, but the one he preferred the most was his scythe. He had found it while searching through the family warehouse and had developed a great liking for it ever since that day. He became quite skilled at it, but still kept in thought other weapons like bows, crossbows, and swords which he also became skilled at.

For years he trained in secret, hiding any evidence from his parents. He did a good job at that and could come up with stories to hide the fact that he would go hunting without their permission. Wolfgang in the other hand was slacking off in class, he had not much of an objective in them because he didn’t have Lucas in them to be constantly bullying on. And it came a time when Lucas was 12 and Wolfgang was 16, which their parents had to go on a month long trip. Lucas was excited; he could hunt for as long as he wanted without anyone looking at him. Or so he thought; Wolfgang began suspecting of his brother’s constant disappearance around the house. However, after a week of their parent’s absence, Wolfgang caught a disease that had him in bed for a long period of time. Lucas thought that killing him at that time would be very boring and dull, so he would train more, until he thought he was ready. This occasion favored Lucas greatly, as Wolfgang wouldn’t be able to do much while he was sick.

Lucas trained for hours and hours, feeding himself on the meat of what he killed, just returning home to sleep. Wolfgang couldn’t do anything about it and his parents were still on the trip. Weeks passed and their parents came back. Lucas didn’t train that day, he didn’t know at what time they would come and so he didn’t want any suspicion on him. Now that they were back, Wolfgang’s illness could be properly mended and in a few days he was feeling better and returned to his classes. Lucas however still didn’t feel confident enough as to be able to challenge him to a battle and so he kept training for more time.

Years passed and Lucas was now 14, he had killed thousands of creatures; dragons, basilisks, Minotaur, they were all child’s play to him now. He was feeling confident of his abilities and so he plotted a way to kill him. He would take him to the woods, for an archery practice and when he would least expect it, he would attack him and cut his head off with a swing of his scythe. He thought of this as ingenious and so a month before his birthday, on a cool October afternoon he invited Wolfgang to come with him and practice their archery on the passing unicorns. Wolfgang with the least of doubts accepted Lucas’s offer.

And so, that same October afternoon, they both went out into the woods. For hours they walked until Lucas thought that no one would be able to hear them or see them. “So Lucas, why did you bring me all the way here, I thought the unicorns were around a kilometer behind us.” Lucas walked to a tree and reached for something that was hidden in the shadows. “Oh, don’t worry Wolf, here no one can hear us or disturb us.” Lucas turned and looked back at Wolfgang, with a scythe in his hand. “What are you doing with that, and where did you get it anyway!?!?” Exclaimed Wolfgang almost yelling. “I guess I can tell you. This scythe was made by a smith I met a year ago. It is made out of the finest orichalcum and the hilt out of glass. But, that’s not all; with the help of a magician, this regular scythe has more than just a cutting blade. It … can control the wind. And now, you’ll figure what it is for.” Wolfgang remained in shock. Lucas had a smirk on his face, the same he had in class when he was going to attack Wolfgang. With a step, Lucas disappeared and instantly reappeared behind Wolfgang. “And as you now, I have always been the fastest.” He held the blade of his scythe against Wolfgang’s neck. “Goodbye brother.” Lucas swung the blade back and just before he decapitated Wolfgang, his hand was stopped. “What the hell…” Whispered Lucas as he saw his arm being stopped by a hand. He looked at his side to see his parents. “What are you doing Lucas!?!? Why would you kill your own brother?” Asked his father, Luscious. Lucas swung his arm back, loosening his father’s grip and then disappeared. “You have no idea how my life has been, father, I have been put through hell all because of Wolfgang, and you and mother didn’t bother to do something, let alone believe me!” Lucas paused. “So now, I’m taking revenge.” He swung his arm back and held his scythe in the air as wind gathered around it. Then with a violent swing of his arm, he released a blade of wind from his scythe. “So die, Wolfgang!”

The blade of wind made grass and dirt lift from the ground and were carried by it. As soon as it made contact with Wolfgang, the grass and dust were blown at Lucas, blinding him momentarily. Once he regained sight, and the dust fell to the ground, he saw the dead bodies of his parents lying on the ground cut in halves. But Wolfgang had disappeared.”Damn it! Wolfgang, you made me kill our parents… I swear I will find you… I swear!!” With that said Lucas fell to his knees as he watched the dead bodies of his parents and began to cry over them.

For over half an hour he stayed on the ground, when an idea came to mind. ‘Wolfgang had always wanted to go to that academy, maybe I could find him there.’ And so Lucas began searching for Wolfgang, starting with that academy that he had always begged to be enrolled in. Once there he immediately enrolled in it, but he figured that he might as well stay even if he didn’t find Wolfgang there, he had already began to like the school.
